HALEX ENGINEERING
EXCAVATOR PILING RIG CONVERSION
Historically, the roots of Halex began to grow in the drilling and piling industry. Having worked with various types of equipment and specific customer requirements this client saw that there was no better partner for this project than us. We offered a turnkey stress free solution working closely with management and operators to ensure our design outcomes worked with the customers needs.

CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS
At Halex we like to start all of our projects by ensuring that we are fully aware of our customers needs and expectations so that we can deliver the best possible solution. In this case it was important that any additions were integrated into existing vehicle systems as cleanly as possible for ease of training and operation. Documentation was also a critical deliverable as the fitting of this system to an already existing vehicle would require new conformity assessment for UKCA/CE marking.

MECHANICAL DESIGN
The mechanical design of this system required a multi-faceted approach. In this case we not only need to consider the parts that are to be newly designed but also the existing vehicle and interface points to which the new equipment will be mounted. Our carefully considered design did not require any changes to existing mounting points ensuring easy re-conversion if required. All loading scenarios where considered and detailed stability calculations were undertaken to ensure that any stability changes to the machine were considered and within the limits advised by the OEM.

MANUFACTURE
The manufacture of our system involved the bringing together of multiple engineering disciplines with machined, fabricated, electrical and hydraulic components all incorporated following relevant industrial standards by our experienced technicians. The final result was a polished and functional system that was delivered on time.
